DJ “Congo Cash” Mbenga found himself in a spot of trouble with the Dallas Police last night as he was arrested for Public Intoxication outside of Buzzbrews Kitchen at 4am.

The Dallas Morning News reported that:

As Mbenga was trying to leave the restaurant, two Dallas police officers were walking in.

The 7-1 center put his palm on the chest of one of the cops and said, “You move out of my way.”

The officer stopped and said, “You don’t touch police, let alone make that statement.”

To which Mbenga — perhaps, in hindsight, inadvisably — responded: “You want to go? I do what I want, so you move out of the way!”

Mbenga, who’s been out of the league since his season with the New Orleans Hornets finished in 2011 was recently waived by the Dallas Mavericks & was rumored to be on the verge of a contract with the Toronto Raptors may have now pissed his last chance at an NBA contract away.
